Expertise: Insolvency, international private client.

Anthony Dessain is the Senior Partner of Bedell. He specialises in insolvency and trust law and heads the Insolvency team.

He is the co-author with Michael Wilkins, Jersey's Viscount, of the recently published third edition of 'Jersey Insolvency and Asset Tracking' published by Keyhaven Publications. He has co-edited the Institute of Directors 'Guidelines for Jersey Directors' and contributed to Butterworth's 'Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents (Offshore trusts)' and Sweet and Maxwell's International Commercial Fraud. He regularly speaks at national and international conferences.

The current Legal 500 2011/12 directory describe him as being "very knowledgeable" and he has been acknowledged by them as "having an awesome intellect" and as "Jersey's top insolvency lawyer". He is recognised by Chambers Research 2011 as "a seasoned veteran; he's very prominent in legal circles in Jersey and an expert on insolvency."  Chambers 2012 recognises Anthony for his "high level expertise" and includes Anthony as a Senior Statesmen in their "Leaders in their Field" listing. Anthony has appeared in the "Honours List" in the "Leading Lawyers" category in the 2012 and 2013 Citywealth Leaders List.  He is also recognised as a leading practitioner in The International Who's Who of Insolvency and Restructuring Lawyers 2010 and PLC Which Lawyer 2011 recommends him in private client and restructuring and insolvency.
