Expertise: Contentious trust and probate, fraud and asset tracking.

Anthony is the head of Bedell Cristin's litigation team. He has been consistently ranked as a leading practitioner in his field. He specialises particularly in contentious trust and probate cases. His practice also extends to asset recovery whether in cases of commercial fraud or cross-border insolvency.

Recent trial work includes the successful pursuit of a negligence claim against the Channel Islands' largest insurance broker and recovering substantial damages following trial with a judgment on professional standards which has proved to be of wide interest amongst insurance professionals (Cafe de Lecq Limited v R A Rossborough (Insurance Brokers) Limited [2012] JRC 053 & 067). Anthony also represented two executors at trial in a high value and very contentious probate dispute the point at issue being whether to assign a potential claim to the residuary beneficiary the executors being deadlocked on the issue. His clients succeeded in having the court sanction their stance and award costs. (Garnham v PC and others [2012] JRC 050).

Held in high regard by his peers, Anthony is often instructed by local professionals especially in trust cases and to defend allegations of professional negligence.

The Legal 500 2012/13 directory has described Anthony as "an impressive courtroom advocate." The Chambers 2013 directory includes Anthony in Band 1 of their "Leaders in their Field" listing and notes that he is an "absolutely standout performer." He is recognised as a leading individual by the current Legal 500 directory, has also been acknowledged as a "prominent figure" in the "Leading Lawyers Contentious Trusts" category in the 2012 and 2013 Citywealth Leaders List. Anthony is also recognised as a leading practitioner in The International Who's Who of Litigation Lawyers 2010 and PLC Which Lawyer 2011 recommend him in dispute resolution and restructuring and insolvency.
