He has a particular specialisation in the use of protected cells companies (PCCs ) for investment funds and insurance purposes and assisted in drafting the 2006 Guernsey law relating to incorporated cell companies as well as corporate governance codes and standard returns for licensed insurers. Mark is recognised as one of the leading practitioners in the Guernsey insurance market and is acknowledged by the Chambers 2008/09 directory as a "approachable and always responsive". He is commeded by the Legal 500 2008/09 directory for his "deep knowledge of local and international regulation and legislation."

He recently advised on the conversion of a major mutual fund from a protected cell company to an incorporated cell company - the first conversion to take place in Guernsey.
